Microgaming Casinos in Canada
“Microgaming casino” describes a casino associated with Microgaming software or games; it is not the name of a single casino account service. The label needs context because the historic game catalogue, today’s Microgaming brand and Games Global are not interchangeable.
This guide explains that distinction and what Canadian players should check: the exact games in a lobby, provider information, jackpot rules, device support, CAD payments and the operator’s account terms.
Casino reviews to compare
These are the casinos covered by our reviews. Check each operator’s current lobby for the specific Microgaming or Games Global title you want. A review listing does not confirm that every provider, game or jackpot is available to your account or in your province.

Microgaming and Games Global: what changed?
On 3 May 2022, Games Global announced its operational launch following the acquisition of Microgaming’s distribution business, game intellectual property, progressive jackpot network and interests in game studios. The official Games Global announcement explains the transaction. This is why older Microgaming references can point to games now associated with Games Global.
That transaction does not mean the Microgaming brand disappeared. Microgaming’s current company website describes an active game-provider business with its own studios and third-party partnerships. Its current catalogue should be checked separately from Games Global’s.
For a player, the practical step is to identify the exact title and provider shown in the casino’s lobby and game information screen. A familiar brand name in an old review does not establish who supplies the version available today. Nor does it confirm the operator’s ownership, licensing or payment arrangements.
Games, provider labels and individual studios
Start with the full game title rather than a broad software category. Related names can refer to different releases, sequels or jackpot editions. A change of suffix may mean different rules and features, so open the information screen before assuming two versions are equivalent.
Examples from the current catalogues
The Microgaming website currently features titles including Lucky Twins Wilds Link&Merge and Sugar Mania 8000. These are examples of its present catalogue, rather than a list of games verified at the casinos above.
The Games Global product catalogue separately lists Mega Moolah, Immortal Romance II from Stormcraft Studios, and 9 Masks of Fire from Gameburger Studios. This illustrates why a studio name may be as useful as a distributor’s name when searching a lobby.
- Search the exact title: include the sequel number or jackpot edition where relevant.
- Read the provider information: distinguish the studio, distributor and casino operator.
- Check local availability: a supplier’s worldwide catalogue is not the same as your account’s game list.
- Open the rules: confirm the version, stake range, features and displayed return information.
If a game is missing, ask the operator whether it is available to your location and device. An archived game list or a provider logo on a casino’s home page is not enough to confirm access.
Progressive jackpots and Mega Moolah
Mega Moolah appears in Games Global’s current progressive-jackpot portfolio. When looking for a jackpot game, check the full edition name and the network or pool identified in its rules. Similar artwork or branding does not prove that two versions participate in the same jackpot.
A progressive prize can change over time. A figure copied into a review is not a live quote, and a large displayed amount does not mean a win is due. Read the game’s current information for the eligible stakes, trigger conditions, prize tiers, currency and payout process.
Do not assume a jackpot available in one market is also offered in another. Confirm the version actually presented to your account. Keep your planned spending limit independent of the advertised prize, and do not increase it to chase a growing total.
Read the rules, RTP and game format
The provider name does not give every game the same odds or features. For slots, check the paytable, total spin cost, bonus features and any extra feature charge. A small coin value or line stake may represent only part of the total wager.
RTP is not a prediction for your session
Return to player, or RTP, describes an average return over a very large number of plays. It is not a promise that your deposit will return at that percentage. The Gambling Commission’s explanation of RTP describes this distinction. Use the information for the exact game version you have opened, rather than a percentage quoted for a similarly named title.
A run of losses does not establish that a random game is about to pay. Demo play can help you learn the controls and rules, but its results are not a forecast of a later real-money session.
Table games and poker are separate checks
Read the rules for the specific blackjack, roulette, baccarat or sic bo version. Side bets, table limits and rule variations deserve their own review. For video poker, compare the actual paytable and credit setting.
Also distinguish a software-run table game, a live dealer stream and player-versus-player poker. A casino offering a poker-themed table game does not necessarily operate a poker room. Our poker guide explains the different formats.
Browser, mobile and Mac compatibility
Check the operator’s supported browsers and devices for each game. A title being part of a provider’s catalogue does not guarantee that every release runs on every phone or computer. The casino website and the embedded game can also have different requirements.
Where supported, browser play lets you open games without installing a separate casino client. If an app or download is offered, confirm its publisher, operating-system requirements and regional availability through the operator’s verified website. Do not use an old installer simply because an older review recommends it.
Our Mac casino guide, mobile guide, iPhone guide and Android guide cover device considerations. On a smaller screen, check that the total stake, currency, balance and game rules remain readable.
If a game freezes while a round is in progress, check the operator’s game history and contact support before placing more bets. Keep the title, time and round reference if available. A display problem alone does not tell you whether the server recorded the round.
CAD payments are set by the casino operator
Microgaming or Games Global branding does not determine your cashier options. The operator and payment provider set the available deposit and withdrawal methods, limits, fees and verification process. Check these before funding an account.
Confirm whether your balance is held in Canadian dollars and whether deposits and payouts remain in CAD throughout. A CAD account does not eliminate every possible fee. Our Canadian-dollar guide explains the currency and payment checks.
For card and wallet questions, see the credit card, Visa, Mastercard and Neteller guides. The current cashier information takes priority over an old list of payment logos. A method that accepts deposits may not support withdrawals.
Ask the operator about payout processing and required documents. A software supplier’s reputation is not a guarantee that a casino will approve a withdrawal within a particular time.
Bonus eligibility and provincial availability
A bonus may exclude specific games or count only part of each wager towards its requirements. Do not assume that every game under one provider filter qualifies. Check the exact eligible-game list, maximum stake, expiry and withdrawal conditions. Our casino bonus guide explains these terms.
Game supply and casino authorisation are separate matters. Check the exact website with the relevant provincial authority. The iGaming Ontario directory lists sites offered by its contracted regulated operators; OLG.ca operates separately. A software logo or overseas supplier licence does not establish provincial authorisation for a casino.
Set time and spending limits before playing, and stop when you reach them. A well-known game brand, promotion or jackpot does not make gambling a source of income. Our responsible gambling guide covers breaks, self-exclusion and support options.
Microgaming casino FAQs
What is a Microgaming casino?
The phrase refers to a casino associated with Microgaming software or games. The casino operator manages your account; the provider label helps identify game content. Check the current lobby and exact titles.
Are Microgaming and Games Global the same company?
The names should not be treated as interchangeable. Games Global acquired Microgaming’s distribution business and significant game assets in 2022. Microgaming continues to present its own current game-provider business.
Where is Mega Moolah listed today?
It appears in Games Global’s product catalogue. That listing does not confirm availability at every casino or in every province. Check the exact jackpot edition and rules in your account.
Why does a game show a studio name instead of Microgaming?
A title may identify its development studio separately from its distributor. Older reviews may use a historic provider label. Use the full game title and current information screen to identify the version.
Does every listed casino have all these games?
No. Catalogues vary by operator, location, device and account. The examples in this guide identify supplier catalogues, not a verified game list for each casino reviewed here.
Can I play these games on a Mac or phone?
Where the operator and game provider support your device and browser, you may be able to. Check the exact title’s requirements, and distinguish browser access from a downloadable app.
Do Microgaming games guarantee fair results or winnings?
A provider name is not a guarantee of winnings or proof of a casino’s regulatory status. Read the game rules and verify the operator independently. RTP describes a long-run average, not your expected result from a short session.
Can I deposit and withdraw in Canadian dollars?
That depends on the casino and payment provider. Check the account currency, settlement currency, fees and withdrawal options in the cashier. Game branding does not determine CAD support.
Do all provider games count towards bonus wagering?
No. Consult the promotion’s eligible-game list and contribution rules, along with maximum stakes and deadlines. A playable title can be excluded from a particular offer.
Who should I contact about a missing payout or game error?
Start with the casino operator’s support or complaints process. Give the game title and transaction or round reference. CanadianCasinoSites.net cannot access your casino account or release funds.
